Resin bound mixes aggregate stone fully into the resin before laying — the stones are encapsulated in a smooth, permeable, loose-stone-free surface. Resin bonded applies resin first and scatters stone on top — stones can shed over time. We install resin bound only. It's the superior, longer-lasting, fully permeable system.

A resin bound surface on a proper sub-base is very resistant to cracking. Problems usually occur when (a) the sub-base moves due to poor preparation, (b) tree roots are present, or (c) a low-quality resin system is used.
